Job Responsibilities:
- Define Team Strategy: Shape the strategic direction of your team and contribute to the company's overall technical strategy for consumer products.
- Lead and Mentor: Guide and coach an exceptional engineering team, helping them build stable, scalable, and reliable features and services.
- Empower Growth: Foster an environment of agility and autonomy, supporting each team member's career development.
- Drive Best Practices: Implement engineering practices (TDD, CI/CD, Agile Methodologies) to improve team engagement, delivery speed, and product quality.
- Own Projects: Lead projects in collaboration with a product manager, manage stakeholders, create roadmaps, and oversee costs.
- Scale Systems and Processes: Play a key role in enhancing architecture and scaling processes related to engineering hiring and onboarding.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 8+ years in software engineering, with at least 2 years in team leadership.
- Domain Expertise: Familiarity with B2C technology and consumer-focused applications.
- Leadership Skills: Strong hands-on leadership abilities to inspire and drive change.
- Coaching and Mentorship: Proven ability in team development and building structures that prioritize speed, quality, and engagement.
- Agile Expertise: Experienced in Agile methodologies and hiring international talent.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in programming languages such as Golang, Java, Ruby on Rails, Swift, or Kotlin, along with a strong foundation in cloud-based systems.
- Deep knowledge of Domain-Driven Design, microservices, and scalable architecture.
- Skilled in database management with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL.
- Excellent at translating business KPIs into actionable goals and managing project priorities.
