This role requires a technologist with a passion for Linux and open source to support our customers, community, and the company. You will address critical issues in the open source stack, including upstream bug fixes, while demonstrating the ability to operate at all levels of the stack. Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex customer problems, maintaining relationships with internal teams, developing bug fixes, reviewing code, and participating in process improvements.
Work Conditions: Full-time, remote role with the possibility of international travel up to 10% of work time for team meetings, events, and conferences.
What We Are Looking For:
- Academic Background: An exceptional track record in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Linux and open source software, and proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, C, or C++ on Linux.
- Passion: A drive to learn unfamiliar technologies and resolve difficult issues.
- Travel Willingness: Ability to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.

- Curiosity and flexibility in working with technology.
- Strong communication skills and accountability.
