Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain test cases from requirements and design documents
- Execute manual and automated tests against functional, performance, and safety requirements
- Ensure compliance with RTCA DO-178C in safety-critical environments
- Manage the full testing lifecycle: planning, execution, defect reporting, and completion
- Oversee testing for embedded and avionics-related systems
- Mentor the team on test automation and CI best practices
- Drive continuous improvement in QA strategies and methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration and validation
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing for embedded systems in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with RTCA DO-178C standards and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test procedures.
- Proficiency with test automation tools; experience with the Rapita Verification Suite is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of JIRA and the Atlassian suite for defect tracking and team collaboration.
