Responsibilities:
- Understand the various requirements regarding payments and card systems and design detailed solutions that meet stipulated non-functional requirements.
- Create technical solutions for business problems and requirements aligned with the company’s business strategy and Enterprise Architecture roadmap.
- Present tactical and strategic architectural options and solutions to senior management.
- Manage and review application, data, and technology components from an enterprise architecture perspective.
- Maintain technology options that effectively support the bank's required software systems.
- Ensure up-to-date documentation of the bank’s systems architecture and interactions between systems.
- Consider scalability, disaster recoverability, and system performance in all aspects of the overall systems architecture.
- Facilitate the effective integration of systems within the bank, particularly as new systems are selected and implemented.
- Define the technology roadmap and govern the technology portfolio from an Enterprise/Digital Application Architecture perspective.
- Provide solutions in line with Agile and DevOps-oriented project delivery.
Qualifications:
- Years of Experience: 10+
- Essential Skills:
- Understanding of payments, card issuing & acquiring message and transaction flows.
- Experience integrating in-house applications with third-party Fintechs.
- Knowledge of card issuing and acquiring processes, including gateways, ATMs, and switches.
- Understanding of ISO8583, MT, and MX messages.
- Experience defining API specifications for REST or Web Services.
- Knowledge of API and interface governance, design standards, and principles.
- Experience transforming user journeys with the help of the latest technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud deployments and AWS.
- Experience evaluating technology partners and defining KPIs.
- Ability to manage the lifecycle of solutions, conduct technology watch, and develop proofs of concept for payments and card systems (both on-premise and cloud-based).
- Good to have experience in application development/integration (preferably Java, Spring framework, Angular, React Native, React web, TIBCO, WebSphere).
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and relevant professional certifications.
- Experience in cloud, DevOps, and Agile development methodologies.
- Awareness of security standards, data confidentiality, and best practices while defining application architecture.
Experience Required:
- Knowledge in cards and payment processing systems, acquiring and issuing processes, ATMs, ISO8583, SWIFT, and UAE-specific payments.
