EPAM is seeking a technically hands-on Solution Architect in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to join our team and help drive client satisfaction through new and existing projects in the region. This position involves front and back platform implementation, migration from legacy services, and integration with internal and external products and services. You will collaborate with EPAM’s local Middle East and European Tech Leaders, Global Architects/Engineers, and Delivery Teams to help clients navigate the rapidly evolving technology landscape.

Our Solution Architects are expected to engage in initial discussions, identify technology needs, recommend appropriate technology solutions, and deliver cutting-edge outcomes. You will be responsible for driving critical client projects, establishing project requirements and goals, designing high-level solutions, and overseeing the solution's "go-live" phase across various industry sectors.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a scalable, fault-tolerant microservices architecture using Java.
- Utilize design patterns, including domain-driven design (DDD), to ensure modularity and maintainability.
- Develop robust Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems while integrating seamlessly with government identity providers using protocols such as OpenID Connect, SAML, and OAuth.
- Facilitate effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize microservices for high performance and horizontal scalability under varying loads while maintaining operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Fluent in both English and Arabic at a business level.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a hands-on Solution Architect or Technology Consultant, with a strong foundation in Software Engineering (Java).
- Experience designing microservice-based architectures and integration capabilities using REST APIs and event-driven technology, alongside native Cloud services.
- Ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) linking technology with business value, guiding clients in making suitable technology choices.
- A passion for delivering exceptional client care and service, with the ability to work comfortably with senior colleagues and clients.
