Solution Architect Lead - Infrastructure

About the Job:
The Solution Architect - Infrastructure is responsible for designing the compute, storage, cloud, data center, and platform infrastructure that supports airport systems. This role ensures that the infrastructure is resilient, secure, and scalable for a 24/7 operational environment. The Solution Architect works across cloud, on-premise, and edge environments, producing infrastructure designs and standards to support airport applications and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Design: Create designs for compute, storage, cloud, data center, platform, and edge infrastructure specific to airport systems, including documentation and standards.
• Cloud & Operations: Design solutions for cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP), and ensure security, monitoring, automation, and operational readiness are embedded in infrastructure.
• Delivery & Collaboration: Work across domains including application, integration, and network to ensure coherent infrastructure design, while supporting project estimation, planning, and risk management.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

• Solid experience in infrastructure/cloud architecture for complex programs.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), virtualization, data center, and storage.
• Knowledge of designing for high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
• Basic understanding of infrastructure security and automation (IaC).
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable:

• Certifications in cloud/infrastructure (Azure/AWS Architect, VMware).
• Experience in aviation, transport, or critical-infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of edge/OT hosting in an airport campus.

Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). Cloud/infrastructure certifications preferred.
