Solution Engineer

Join the Snowflake team as a Solution Engineer, where you will be tasked with solving customers' most complex problems and closing significant deals. This role involves working directly with the accounts sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs, strategize on navigating sales cycles, provide compelling value-based demonstrations, support enterprise Proof of Concepts, and ultimately close business.

As a Solution Engineer, you will:

• Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors in the South African market.
• Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle—from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation.
• Maintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors and position Snowflake accordingly.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake’s products and marketing.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of industry experience with both business and technical expertise.
• Outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences—proficient in impromptu scenarios or structured presentations/demos.
• A broad range of experience with data platforms, analytics, cloud technologies, ML, and AI.
• Hands-on expertise with SQL or Python.
• Ability to connect customer-specific business problems to Snowflake’s solutions.
• A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Experience in the South African market is a preference for this role.
