You will manage the overall technical relationship between AWS and our customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency to accelerate their challenging projects. You will educate customers on the AWS value proposition and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud. By operating as a trusted advisor, you will shape your guidance based on the best interests of the customers. Internally, you will be the voice of the customer, conveying their needs to inform the roadmap of AWS features. Additionally, you will create and share best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures and evangelize AWS through workshops, user groups, public speaking, and online content.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Manage technical relationships between AWS and customers.
- Recommend security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency measures.
- Educate customers on AWS's value and participate in architectural discussions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, representing their interests internally.
- Share customer needs with AWS teams to inform product roadmaps.
- Create and share best practices and technical content.
- Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization by mentoring others.
- Collaborate with account managers to accelerate ISV customer cloud implementations.
A Day in the Life
You will work closely with account managers to help ISV customers modernize their business on AWS. This involves transforming existing workloads by designing target architectures optimized for business agility, innovation, performance, resiliency, and cost. Our focus is understanding customer business drivers and existing architecture to provide robust cloud architecture recommendations that can scale.
About the Team
The AWS ISV Solutions Architecture team is dedicated to working with software companies to design and build scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures and solutions. We aim to enable our customers to expand their business globally in a cost-efficient manner.
Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
- 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructures.
- Background in Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, or DevOps.
- Experience in managing complex sales processes with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, or equivalent) and/or relevant tech experience.
- Business-level English communication skills, written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with software companies and experience in enterprise cloud adoption.
- Knowledge of cloud-native design patterns, DevOps practices, and AWS services.
- Understanding of enterprise regulations, security, and compliance standards.
- Public speaking experience or a passion for creating technical content.
- Working knowledge of cloud-native architectures.
- Business-level Arabic communication skills, written and verbal.
