Solutions Architect - AWS Cloud Optimization Success

AWS Cloud Optimization Success is seeking a Solutions Architect who will build out example scenarios and hands-on labs to demonstrate best practices for deploying workloads in the cloud. This person will work with internal and external stakeholders to help acquire and maintain proficiency in conducting Well-Architected Framework Reviews, as well as using tools like AWS Trusted Advisor and AWS Health. The ideal candidate will be comfortable talking with both implementation engineers and senior executives such as CTOs and CFOs.

We want to help our customers build cloud-native applications and adopt new technologies. You will work with partners and customers, helping them with their adoption and execution of solutions. Key responsibilities include:

• Shaping solutions-focused skills of AWS partners and customers related to the AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Building and maintaining example workloads and labs for education and onboarding
• Defining technical enablement strategies based on customer business challenges
• Leading Cloud Optimization Success Workshops and labs
• Acting as a trusted advisor on implementation using AWS tools

Work Conditions

• Some travel required (25-40% domestic travel, travel across EMEA and occasional broader international travel)

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, and infrastructure
• Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in software development or Internet-related industries
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud
• Familiarity with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
