Solutions Architect (Cards & Payments)

We have an immediate job opportunity for a Solutions Architect specializing in Cards & Payments. The role involves developing end-to-end payment solution architectures encompassing card issuing (debit, credit, prepaid, closed-loop, virtual), acquiring (POS, ATM), e-commerce, and operations (reconciliation, chargebacks). You will be responsible for translating client business requirements and regulatory contexts into a coherent target-state architecture and phased solution strategy. Additionally, the role requires assessing existing client platforms and defining migration, integration, and interoperability approaches with minimal disruption to live operations. Regulatory alignment, factoring in local regulatory, scheme, and routing requirements as part of solution design, is also essential.

Required Experience:

• 12 to 18 years of experience in payments technology, solution architecture, or presales, including experience in a client-facing role.
• Proven experience designing or architecting payment platform solutions, ideally across issuing/acquiring processing platforms and issuing APIs.
• Experience working on platform migration or replatforming engagements involving live production systems.
• Working knowledge of payment scheme rules, regulatory frameworks, and local market considerations (e.g., central bank oversight, domestic scheme participation).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, PMP) are a plus but not mandatory.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
