We are seeking a Solutions Architect to join our META Professional Services team in a client-facing role. In this position, you will develop massively scalable solutions to address complex data challenges using technologies such as Hadoop, NiFi, Spark, and related Big Data tools. You will collaborate with multiple industries and large customer organizations across the META region, requiring travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Big Data solutions at scale using the Cloudera Data Platform and Cloudera Dataflow.
- Design and implement Hadoop and NiFi platform architectures and configurations for customers.
- Perform platform installations and upgrades for advanced secured cluster configurations.
- Analyze complex distributed production deployments and provide recommendations for performance optimization.
- Document and present complex architectures for customer technical teams.
- Collaborate with Cloudera teams at all levels to ensure the success of consulting engagements.
- Drive projects to successful completion.
- Write technical documentation, blogs, and knowledge-base articles.
- Participate in pre-and post-sales processes, interpreting customer requirements.
- Stay current with Hadoop Big Data ecosystem technologies.
- Attend speaking engagements as needed.
- Travel up to 75%.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in Information Technology and System Architecture experience.
- 5+ years of Professional Services (customer-facing) experience architecting large-scale storage, data center, or globally distributed solutions.
- 5+ years designing and deploying three-tier architectures or large-scale Hadoop solutions.
- Ability to understand big data use-cases and recommend standard design patterns for Hadoop-based and streaming data deployments.
- Knowledge of data management ecosystems, including data warehousing, ETL, and data integration.
- Experience implementing data transformation and processing solutions.
- Proficiency in designing data queries against data in the HDFS environment using tools such as Apache Hive.
- Experience in setting up multi-node Hadoop clusters and configuring security protocols (LDAP/AD, Kerberos/SPNEGO).
- Experience with Cloudera Software and/or HDP Certification (HDPCA / HDPCD) is a plus.
- Strong background in enterprise Linux environments and various enterprise security solutions.
- Understanding of network configuration and associated optimizations.
- Familiarity with Java ecosystem debugging and profiling tools.
- Knowledge of scripting tools such as bash, Python, Perl, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Experience in architecting data center solutions with performance, availability, and ROI considerations.
- A 4-year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
