Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design: Own the development of sophisticated solutions for large opportunities, ensuring alignment with client objectives and budget constraints.
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of Cisco's products, industry best practices, and new technologies to design competitive solutions.
  • Cross Architecture Approach: Utilize a cross-architecture strategy with mid to high-level technical expertise to aid in building journey maps and multi-year roadmaps for customers.
  • Documentation: Develop detailed solution documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and cost estimates for clear understanding by partners.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with sales and client management teams to gather client requirements and build strong relationships.
  • Consultative Selling: Articulate solutions through designs, blueprints, and frameworks to meet customer business outcomes.
  • Proactive Demand Generation: Work alongside the sales team to identify deals, focusing on lifecycle selling opportunities.
  • C-Suite Engagement: Communicate effectively with executive leadership, bridging the gap between technical teams and business leaders.
  • Industry Expertise: Provide knowledgeable solutions contextualized to specific industry verticals.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify risks associated with proposed solutions and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, solution architecture, or technical consulting within the technology sector.
  • Proven experience in crafting large-scale IT solutions across multi-architecture domains (networking, security, collaboration, data center, cloud).
  • Familiarity with solution architecture artifacts such as high-level designs and cost estimates.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco’s portfolio and competitor technologies with relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE, etc.).
  • Experience engaging C-level partners in enterprise and public sector accounts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, particularly in executive presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to align solutions with customer business outcomes through consultative selling.
  • Experience in collaborative solution development across teams and ecosystem partners.
  • Deep industry knowledge (e.g. utilities, finance, oil & gas, public sector) for contextualizing solutions.
