The company's Solutions Engineer's, also known as Presales Consultant/Engineer or Sales Engineer, are known as trusted advisors that expertly identify optimal solutions for our customer’s needs. It is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals possessing strong technical skills, openness and team collaboration, and excellent presentation skills that help drive sales activities and business development. You will work with leading companies for our global company, providing guidance during the sales process by identifying customers' technical and business requirements and demonstrating product capabilities. You will also be responsible for designing a solution proposal that is the best for the customer.

What You'll Do

  • Be a team with sales representatives and work together on any activities with prospective customers and business partners.
  • Conduct “pain discovery” processes to understand the customer needs and articulate a solution that best addresses that need.
  • Deliver technical presentations and respond to technical questions during sales calls.
  • Develop, present, and deliver high-impact solution demonstrations.
  • Design secure, scalable solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Be the owner for our customer’s evaluation process of the offered products and solutions.
  • Plan and manage proofs of concept, including scope, success criteria, timelines, customer responsibilities, and technical validation.
  • Detect technical and functional objections from the prospective customer during the sales process, be creative finding solutions, and work together with the appropriate team for remediation.
  • Build and defend proposals to customers, articulating the benefits of our company as the best solution that addresses that need to all levels, including “C” level executives.
  • Support responses to RFPs, RFIs, security questionnaires, and technical tender requirements.
  • Work together on partner activities like discovery calls, demos, proposals, events, and others.
  • Participate in partner enablement activities like tech training and functional enablement.
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, support, and professional services to resolve technical issues and represent regional customer needs.
  • Represent the company at Trade Shows, User Group events, Conferences, and Virtual webinar events.
  • Serve as the market expert on products, from how customers use them, to how the competition positions against them, to how the field sells and services them.

Qualifications

  • Four-year Degree in a technical field, ideally Computer Science or IT is preferred, or adequate career experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT on at least one of the following areas: technical presales, technical consultancy, development or technical support activities.
  • Excellent oral presentation skills, public relations skills, and the ability to educate and train in a technical environment.
  • General knowledge of several technologies such as: SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, SQL, SMB; NAS, DNS, proxies, load balancers, LDAP, SAML, API, web services, JSON, XML, Windows, Linux, cloud providers, hybrid infrastructure and containerized deployments.
  • Previous experience in workflow development or scripting, in any language.
  • Security fundamentals: Encryption, PKI, authentication, authorization, certificates, key management, network security, Anti-malware, Data Loss Prevention, compliance and secure deployment practices.
  • Working effectively with partners and distributors across the Middle East.
  • Ability to work independently in a regional role while collaborating effectively with international and remote teams.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally. In a normal year, you might expect to travel 1-3 times per quarter.
  • Previous experience in MFT, data integration, or job scheduling solutions is a plus.
