Position

The Solutions Engineer, also known as a "Pre-sales Consultant" or "Sales Engineer", is a technical role that is part of the sales team. It is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals with strong technical, collaboration, and presentation skills. As a solutions engineer, you will be a product and market expert for one or several product lines of Fortra's portfolio, providing guidance during the sales process by identifying customers' technical and business requirements and demonstrating product capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with sales representatives on activities with prospective customers.
  • Conduct "pain discovery" processes to understand customer needs and articulate solutions that best address those needs.
  • Develop, present, and deliver high-impact demonstrations.
  • Own the customer’s evaluation process by executing trials and proof of concepts.
  • Identify technical and functional objections from prospective customers and work with the appropriate team to find solutions.
  • Build and present proposals, articulating the benefits of our solutions to all levels, including C-level executives.
  • Participate in partner enablement activities like tech training and functional enablement.
  • Represent the Company at Trade Shows, User Group events, Conferences, and Virtual events.
  • Serve as the market expert of our products and assist in the outbound launch of new products and releases.

Qualifications

  • KSA or UAE resident.
  • Four-year Degree in a technical field, ideally Computer Science or IT.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT, technical presales, technical consultancy, development, or technical support.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cyber security, particularly in DLP, Data Classification, or relevant Data Governance solutions.
  • Excellent oral presentation and public relations skills, with the ability to educate and train in a technical environment.
  • Native Arabic and very good English required; any other language is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

What Sets You Apart

  • Previous experience in presales activities for a DLP vendor.
  • Hands-on experience with related cybersecurity technologies including DLP, CASB, Email Gateways, Document Management, DRM/Encryption, and EDR solutions.
  • Security, technical, or other certifications like CISSP are advantageous.
  • Experience working in IT/security projects in large organizations.
