Position

The Solutions Engineer (SE) is a sales and technical role focused on customer and partner engagements, part of the XC Specialist sales organization. The SE’s primary responsibility is to support the sales team with technical skills and provide technical knowledge around the company's Distributed Cloud to our customers. This position aims to achieve the allocated sales target by selling relevant Distributed Cloud solutions and products to address customers' business needs. The SE acts as a trusted adviser who learns and understands customers' technical and business challenges and proposes effective solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Articulate the company's product strategy, messaging, and positioning of the Distributed Cloud’s value proposition and solutions for customer business objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise through sales presentations, solution designs, solution demonstrations, and proofs of concept via various mediums: in-person, virtual presentations, white boarding, etc.
  • Drive the sales process in partnership with the Account team by identifying the Technical Decision Maker and securing their technical validation and support.
  • Consistently provide world-class customer service throughout the customer life cycle.
  • Collaborate with internal technical and sales resources, sharing best practices and seeking expertise as needed.

How you’ll do it:

  • Experience in secure Cloud architectures in: AWS, Azure, GCP, or other public clouds.
  • CI/CD experience (automate build and test pipelines with GitOps, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Experience with multi-cloud design and cloud instrumentation/configuration management tools for deployment (e.g., GKE, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible).
  • Familiarity with application-related products such as DNS, load balancers, web application firewalls, API security, content delivery networks, and more.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, and Grafana.
  • Software development experience in Go, Python, Ruby, or scripting languages.

What you’ll bring:

  • 10+ years of related industry experience.
  • BS/BA or equivalent work experience.
  • Expertise in solution designs for large-scale environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of vertical market solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and account management skills.
  • Prior mentorship experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in leading initiatives.
  • Familiarity with the company or similar industry solution deployment is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
