In this role, you will manage a team of Solutions Engineers to achieve revenue targets and ensure customer success. Your responsibilities will include serving as a lead technical resource in the region, supporting sales activities, recruiting top talent, and engaging directly with key customers. The position is a hands-on combination of coaching and player management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Solutions Engineers to ensure sales and customer success.
  • Collaborate with Pre-Sales and Sales Leadership to strategize and engage in pre-sales activities.
  • Conduct pipeline recruiting to find and hire top field engineering talent.
  • Mentor and coach new hires throughout their onboarding and development phases.
  • Develop and maintain strategic and technical account plans.
  • Interact with customers to understand their business challenges.
  • Collaborate with Professional Services and Education to ensure alignment between pre-sales and post-sales activities.
  • Identify and scope new opportunities for Splunk Professional Services.
  • Provide continual development feedback and create individual development plans for Sales Engineers.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and 1:1 sessions to assist team members in their growth.
  • Work cross-functionally with various teams to resolve critical customer situations and provide feedback.
  • Deliver presentations and technical briefings on Splunk products and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in technically selling and supporting software products to IT organizations.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Solutions Engineer/Solutions Architect Management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Familiarity with the Splunk portfolio is beneficial, along with domain expertise in IT Operations, Application Management, and Security/Compliance.
  • Experience with networking, servers, applications, virtualization, big data, and web technologies is preferred.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups and lead teams toward peak performance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
