As a Solutions Engineer at the company, your primary responsibilities will involve:
- Writing and delivering exceptional business and technical presentations.
- Demonstrating Splunk solutions to prospects both onsite and remotely (via Webinars).
- Attending and showcasing Splunk solutions at field events, such as conferences and trade shows.
- Responding to functional and technical elements of tender documents including RFIs/RFPs.
- Delivering and managing Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements to successful outcomes.
- Addressing complex technical and competitive questions, along with customer concerns, to achieve successful resolutions.
- Developing relevant presales materials, such as business cases/ROI and competitive insight documents to effectively communicate Splunk’s value propositions.
- Collaborating with the presales team and management to improve working practices and presales processes.

Business Knowledge and Experience:
- Domain knowledge in areas such as Big Data, Application Performance Management, Security, Business Intelligence/Web Analytics, and Operational Intelligence is essential.
- A strong understanding of the financial services, insurance, telecommunications, and/or retail markets, with a proven track record in selling to enterprise organizations.
- Ability to comprehend client business challenges and understand strategic business and technology goals.
Technical Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience with complex application environments and relevant machine data sources such as performance logs, application logs, and security data sources.
- Knowledge in Log Management and analysis is beneficial.
- Hands-on experience with UNIX (HP-UX, Solaris, AIX), Linux, and Windows operating systems.
- Web development skills (XML, HTML 5.0, JavaScript, Java, .NET, Ruby) would be an advantage.
Essential Education, Experience, and Additional Skills:
- 5+ years of Presales experience with an Enterprise Software Vendor.
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabia customers.
- A University degree or equivalent (preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field).
- Proactive and self-sufficient in managing activities.
- Strong communication skills, including excellent verbal and written English.
- Knowledgeable of the sales process with a strong technical software sales background.
- Organized and analytical with the ability to overcome sales obstacles creatively.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, technical environment with a rapidly expanding customer base.
- Resilience and resourcefulness in solving complex problems and excellent teamwork skills.
