We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to support our rapidly growing user community and help drive customer success.

Our Solutions (Pre-Sales) Engineers are the primary technical field experts, responsible for managing the technical components of sales engagements. This includes explaining Couchbase advantages, addressing customer challenges, and demonstrating how our solutions meet those challenges, while getting customers excited about our technology.

This specific role focuses on assisting customers who interact with our technology via application code and the application development process. It requires experience in presales, software development, and developing business solutions. Familiarity with one or more Enterprise Programming Languages and Solution Development methodologies is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Consult with customers and prospects to define their challenges and identify opportunities.
• Map challenges to the Couchbase Ecosystem and present sustainable business value.
• Educate and act as a trusted advisor, challenging assumptions while delivering value.
• Conduct technical and business discovery activities, including workshops and demonstrations.
• Collaborate with the sales team on account strategy and identify new opportunities.
• Manage acceptance criteria and issue resolution for customer Proof of Concepts (PoC) and Pilots.
• Present engaging company/product presentations and demonstrations to various technical levels.
• Stay informed about the competitive landscape and represent customer perspectives to Product Management and Engineering.
• Create internal and external technical collateral, such as deployment architectures and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years in a Pre-Sales/Customer-Facing/Consulting Role.
• 2+ years of experience in software development or related industries.
• Excellent presentation skills tailored to a diverse audience, including C-Suite executives.
• Proficient in Arabic (native or fluent).
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET, C, or SQL.
• Experience with at least one major cloud service provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Skilled in solution design on major database platforms, including data modeling and query optimization.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases or high-performance distributed systems.
• Experience in database platform development.
