Position

This position is for an Artificial Lift Specialist, located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The role involves providing expert advice on artificial lift systems to both subsurface and surface teams to enhance their performance in technology management, addressing technical challenges, establishing standard practices, and promoting knowledge sharing. As the technical authority on all aspects of artificial lift within the petroleum engineering domain, the Specialist will assist the company’s assets by advising them on optimal artificial lift design, techniques, and tools, while also establishing standards for these systems.

Key responsibilities include identifying opportunities for artificial lift design improvements, addressing challenges across assets with innovative technologies, sharing lessons learned and best practices, participating in technical staff development, and coordinating with the company HQ and other stakeholders to secure the implementation of best practices.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a petro-technical discipline, with an advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience in Well Engineering, alongside at least 5 years in artificial lift operations or development, including roles in gas lift and ESP, is required. International experience is also favorable.

The successful candidate will adhere to the company’s Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability (HSE) procedures, report incidents to supervisors, take action on unsafe practices, and fulfill emergency responsibilities as needed. Additionally, the individual will contribute to preparing management information systems (MIS) and progress reports for company management.
