We are looking for a skilled technician to join our Calibration Laboratory team. In this role, you will perform calibrations of Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) and provide support in minor repairs and calibration services for customer test equipment. Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform calibrations of TMDE as part of the daily activities of the Calibration Laboratory.
- Assist Technician, Calibration in performing minor repair and calibration service support to customer's test equipment.
- Validate compliance to Metrological Traceability of the International System of Units (SI) for laboratory equipment.
- Perform periodic Preventive Maintenance and Intermediate Checking on Al TAIF reference standards and equipment in order to optimize uptime.
- Check and verify the correctness of data results of each Calibration Report in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and Accreditation Body Requirements.
- Validate personnel-developed Uncertainty Computation spreadsheet and formulate Uncertainty Measurement Computations based on ISO-GUM.
- Implement and adhere to approved Technical Manuals, Laboratory Procedures, and Work Instructions.
- Assist and conduct consumable, tools, and equipment inventory within the Calibration Laboratory.
- Provide assistance to personnel who may need technical assistance within the capabilities of the Calibration Laboratory.
- Participate in interlaboratory comparison, intralaboratory comparison, and/or quality checks to ensure the quality of calibration activities.
- Assist in the formulation and oversee the implementations of Corrective and Preventive Actions regarding Internal and External Audit Non-conformances.
- Ensure that all documentations and technical records, including uncertainty measurement computations, are up-to-date and readily accessible by all members of the Calibration Laboratory.
- Promote and adhere to the regulations of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard and Accreditation Body Requirements for an Accredited Calibration Laboratory.
- Understand the management-approved Risk Framework and actively participate in the Risk Management Program.
- Identify and report potential risks related to the calibration process while performing TMDE calibration and other associated activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a focus in Engineering being advantageous.
- A minimum of five years of experience working in calibration or handling calibration activities is required.
- The ability to conduct and formulate Uncertainty measurement computations is required.
- Knowledge of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software is required; proficiency in Excel is necessary.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally, is required.
- A minimum of two years in a supervisory position in a Calibration Laboratory environment is preferred.
