Specialist – Cyber Security Cloud Operations

Emirates NBD is seeking a Specialist in Cyber Security Cloud Operations. This role is pivotal in detecting, responding to, and mitigating threats targeting Emirates NBD’s cloud infrastructure and data. The Specialist will also act as a standby resource for incident processes and ensure optimal cyber hygiene levels are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor cloud environments using security tools to detect intrusion attempts and unauthorized access.
• Utilize SIEM tools for log collection and analysis, developing custom detection rules to identify cloud-specific threats.
• Address cloud attack vectors (IAM issues, insecure API configurations, etc.) and implement monitoring solutions for container and serverless security.
• Engage in threat hunting using diverse methodologies to find signs of unauthorized activity and advanced attack techniques.
• Conduct digital forensics analysis of compromised instances to identify attack vectors.
• Manage incidents effectively, prioritizing critical alerts and conducting thorough investigations.
• Prepare relevant incident reports and maintain documentation.
• Suggest new solutions to improve the Group’s Security Monitoring posture.

Key Requirements:

• Education:

  • Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Desirable: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Security, or related fields.

• Certifications:

  • Essential: CCSP, GCLD, GCFR, GCSA, GCPN, GPCS, GCTD, GWEB, or relevant cloud security certifications (Azure, AWS, Oracle).
  • Desirable: GCTI, GCFA, GNFA, GREM, GCIH, GCFA, OCSP.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud security, cyber hunt, or technical Information Security roles.
  • 7 years of overall technology experience.

• Skills:

  • Strong understanding of cloud technology stacks (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud).
  • Knowledge of SecDevOps practices.
  • Proficiency in digital forensics, malware assessments, and various operating systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Language Requirements: English proficiency is required.
