Specialist Datacenter (Trainee)

About the Job
The purpose of this position is to supervise and implement the Electromechanical infrastructure (UPS, DC power, generators, cooling, firefighting, etc.) in data centers and other telecom facilities as per the company guidelines and DC world standards to maintain a robust and reliable telecom infrastructure. Moreover, this role involves providing full technical support to all team members on-site to ensure quality of installations.

Key Accountabilities

• Coordinate with other teams/departments to ensure that electromechanical infrastructure is planned and implemented according to the company design standards.
• Technically evaluate the proposed EM solutions and materials submitted by vendors.
• Review all design, shop drawings, and material submittals for various projects, proposing changes if necessary.
• Provide technical support in updating the company design and standards relevant to data centers and telecom facilities.
• Raise RFQs, PRs, and follow up on approvals until purchase orders are issued.
• Address any technical queries raised by vendors in technical evaluations and proposals based on set criteria and specifications.
• Provide technical support to other teams regarding electromechanical systems.
• Accommodate day-to-day electromechanical requirements of other teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Skills

• Knowledge of TIA and Uptime Institute Standards.
• Good understanding of IEC/BS Standards and local authority regulations.
• Proficient in design tools such as MS Office, MS Visio, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
• Strong teamwork and cooperation skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Organizational commitment.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Valid UAE driving license.
