Specialist, Digital Emerging Technologies (Data Scientist / IOT)

Develop and support the implementation of strategies and plans for Digital Oilfields activities in line with the company’s objectives and priorities. This role aims to enhance oil recovery, achieve operational excellence, and promote safer operations. The Specialist will design, implement, and maintain the company's Offshore technical artificial intelligence strategy and data analytics framework to model complex problems and find opportunities by addressing business-related issues. The work involves real-time data and big data mining, leveraging algorithms, statistical models, and visualization techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the company's Offshore artificial intelligence strategy and guidelines for business and technical domains related to exploration, development, and production.
• Conduct technical workshops to identify and prioritize opportunities that can be improved through artificial intelligence tools.
• Design and launch innovative analytic models, and lead the development of big data capabilities to address complex business problems.
• Identify relevant data sources and capture structured and unstructured data necessary for model building related to the oil and gas business.
• Provide input for the preparation of Team/Department budgets and assist in the delivery of objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Petroleum, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in large-scale Data Science, Data Analytics, and software development within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Theano, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn.
• Proficiency in R, SQL, Python; familiarity with Java, C++, and data visualization tools (e.g., Spotfire, Tableau).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in English.
