The KYC Onboarding Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the dormant account management process within a leading bank in the UAE. This position focuses on performance improvement, data quality, and the implementation of system and process changes while complying with established policy frameworks and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The specialist will provide vital back-office support for dormant account activities and contribute to departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Follow departmental policies and SOPs for dormant account management.
- Review breaks and exceptions from dormant account reconciliation, escalate them to the relevant teams, and follow up for resolution.
- Review the daily Power BI report, mark dormancy status for High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs), and share it with Relationship Managers.
- Analyze monthly Data Warehouse (DWH) Rule Engine reports for unclaimed accounts.
- Prepare the monthly funds transfer file of unclaimed amounts for the Central Bank, coordinating with DWH, TBO, and Payments.
- Reconcile Unit Suspense accounts and prepare Management Information Systems (MIS) and dashboards.
- Advise the Account Management Operations (AMO) team on manual processing of exceptions and assist in marking/removing "Court Case" flags.
- Update SOPs and manuals to reflect policy and product changes.
- Log complaints and errors, identify root causes, and track error trends on a monthly basis.
- Support internal quality assurance, audits, and resolution of non-conformities.
- Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) related to system and process changes.
- Escalate risks and recommend mitigating controls.
- Propose process improvements for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Required Skills
- Experience in handling dormant and unclaimed accounts, reconciliation, and suspense accounts.
- Proficiency in Management Information Systems (MIS) and dashboards, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
- Strong skills in SOP writing, Quality Assurance (QA), audit support, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and risk escalation.
Preferred Background
- Retail or personal banking operations experience.
- Background in KYC, account services, or familiarity with Central Bank reporting.
