About the Role
This position is critical for ensuring that FX/MM/Islamic products deals, for both HNI and NON HNI clients, are accurately captured and that settlement instructions are meticulously verified. The primary goal is to enable error-free settlement of all deals in a timely manner, thereby preventing any potential losses or penalties for the company. The role includes ensuring the documentation of all deals is matched through established electronic systems, and coordinating the establishment of missing Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs) at the customer details level for automatic capture of settlement instructions.

Key Accountabilities
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure work is conducted in a controlled and consistent manner.

Reporting

  • Assist in preparing timely and accurate statements and reports to meet department requirements, policies, and quality standards.

Job Context
Specific Accountability

  • Input, review, and check the correctness of volume and KPI reports.
  • Validate MM/FX/IS payments after ensuring that all deal details input by the dealer are correct.
  • Validate and release payments from Murex after verifying the status in the Matching confirmation system, namely Murex Matcher and Finastra.
  • Ensure all commercial payments are processed accurately by uploading them in the Remittance workflow system.
  • Monitor FX/MM/IS/Global FXMM group email and ensure appropriate actions are taken.
  • Manually monitor the daily workflow for ECP/CP/CD across all entities, preparing HK FMD entries.
  • Follow up with dealers/clients regarding rollovers and release from Murex.
  • Send NDF confirmations to clients and release agreed amounts from Murex.
  • Ensure that trade validation and payment queues in MUREX are clear at the end of the day.
  • Ensure Swift Alliance verification queues are clear at the end of the day.
  • Handle settlement processes for our global entities (e.g., London, Oman, Hong Kong, and Cayman).
  • Liaise with GM, clients, and other GMO desks regarding queries related to the deals.
  • Liaise with Reconciliation for Islamic overnight deals.
  • Liaise with Investigations for any customer queries.
  • Participate in CLS/shift/holiday rotation to ensure business as usual for local and global operations at all times.
  • Provide necessary support for all International Locations centralized within the head office Global Market Operations.

Minimum Qualification

  • University Graduate.
  • Knowledge of Treasury products and accounting principles.
  • Strong communication skills.

Minimum Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the banking sector, with a minimum of 3 years in similar roles that involve progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in the treasury function.
