Specialist - Information Security

The company, a leader in AI-powered cloud and digital infrastructure, is seeking a Specialist in Information Security. This is a hands-on role requiring 7-8 years of cybersecurity experience with deep expertise in the Microsoft Security Stack, CrowdStrike, Elastic EDR, Corelight NDR, Red Hat OpenShift, and OpenStack security implementation. The position includes daily business as usual (BAU) operations and focuses on Microsoft Defender, EDR/XDR/NDR, cloud security, threat hunting, detection engineering, and complex incident response in large enterprise environments.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• SIEM & Detection Engineering (Microsoft Sentinel):

  • Design and implement Microsoft Sentinel architectures for diverse environments.
  • Integrate Sentinel with various security tools and telemetry sources.
  • Develop analytics rules and detection logic.

• Platform Operations & BAU Ownership:

  • Manage day-to-day administration and monitoring of Sentinel.
  • Troubleshoot ingestion and incident-related issues.
  • Maintain operational documentation and dashboards.

• Threat Detection, Response & Investigation:

  • Conduct incident triage and proactive threat hunting.
  • Operate and optimize security tools for incident management and investigation.
  • Perform comprehensive threat analyses and mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• 7-8 years of overall cybersecurity experience in areas such as SOC, SIEM, EDR/XDR/NDR, cloud security, incident response, or threat hunting.
• Proficient in architecture, design, implementation, and operations of Microsoft Sentinel.
• Advanced Kusto Query Language (KQL) experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender suite and other security platforms.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Linux administration and security monitoring.
• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and private/hybrid cloud environments.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or similar.
