About the Role
The primary objective of this role is to study and identify improvement opportunities while providing subject matter expertise to ensure coherence and optimization of all activities related to Operations Excellence. The position involves designing and implementing changes to processes that improve results, reduce costs, and eliminate waste. Responsibilities include delivering process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives while addressing process deficiencies through re-engineering interventions and corrective action plans. This role also includes developing and implementing all technical training related to operations, which covers the receipt, storage, handling, and delivery of aviation products, the use of related equipment, safety and fire prevention protocols, driving of fueling vehicles, and ensuring quality control.

Key Accountabilities
- Lead the provision of awareness sessions on the role of Operations Excellence and the implemented internal controls, policies, and procedures to Operations employees and partners.
- Lead the identification and setting of standards of Operational Excellence to maximize the safe and reliable performance of company assets.
- Lead the assessment of Operations performance against established standards to provide confidence on operational status.
- Present business process optimization opportunities and underlying operations improvement business cases to operations group management and executives.
- Continuously leverage expertise and resources from impacted areas to support and implement initiatives.
- Identify and communicate obstacles and challenges encountered throughout projects, and suggest opportunities for improving or accelerating processes.
- Identify continuous improvement activities to generate bottom-line risk reduction and savings, supporting the overall Operational Excellence program.
- Execute improvement activities to promote organizational changes and foster a culture of operational excellence through cross-functional collaboration.
- Lead and facilitate lean/process improvement-based workshops to drive ideas and solutions.
- Coordinate with sites and various divisions for Operational Excellence communications and prepare for audits.
- Work with key business stakeholders to cultivate a continuous improvement environment to drive Operational Excellence across the organization.
- Support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency by identifying and eliminating unnecessary complexity within business processes and exploring better ways of working.
- Assist in the development and implementation of a ‘best-in-class’ continuous improvement strategy.
- Participate in developing, implementing, and executing the operational excellence program.
- Identify key opportunities and gaps in core business and operational processes, then develop improvement plans accordingly.
- Lead the development of value stream mapping to measure current performance and establish future state targets aimed at eliminating waste and enhancing safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory metrics.
- Own the timely delivery of initiatives, regularly reporting to the leadership team and site on the status of schedules and achievement of intended objectives.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in a continuous improvement role, preferably within the oil and gas retail industry.
- PMP or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred.
