About the Role
In this role, you will study and identify improvement opportunities while providing subject matter expertise to ensure coherence and optimization of all activities related to Operational Excellence. Your primary focus will be to design and implement changes to processes that improve results, reduce costs, and eliminate waste. You will be responsible for delivering process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, addressing all process deficiencies through re-engineering interventions and corrective action plans. Additionally, you will develop and implement all technical training related to Operations, which includes the receipt, storage, handling, and delivery of aviation products, use of related equipment, safety and fire prevention, driving of fuelling vehicles, and quality control.

Key Accountabilities
Operational Excellence
- Lead the provision of awareness sessions on the role of Operational Excellence and the implemented internal controls, policies, and procedures to Operations employees and partners.
- Identify and set standards for Operational Excellence to maximize the safe and reliable performance of company assets.
- Assess Operations performance against established standards to provide confidence in operational status.
- Present business process optimization opportunities and underlying operations improvement business cases to management and executives.
- Leverage expertise and resources from impacted areas to support and implement initiatives.
- Identify and communicate obstacles and challenges encountered throughout projects and provide opportunities for improving or accelerating processes.
- Identify continuous improvement activities that produce bottom line risk reduction and savings to support the overall Operational Excellence program.
- Execute improvement activities to promote organizational changes and facilitate a culture of operational excellence through cross-functional collaboration.
- Lead and facilitate lean/process improvement-based workshops to drive ideas and solutions.
- Coordinate with sites and various divisions for Operational Excellence and communication with sites to prepare for audits.
- Collaborate with key business stakeholders to build a continuous improvement environment that supports the drive for Operational Excellence across the organization.
- Support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes and the identification of better working methods.
- Assist in developing and implementing a ‘best-in-class’ continuous improvement strategy.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and execution of the operational excellence program.
- Identify key opportunities and gaps in core business and operational processes and formulate improvement plans.
- Lead the development of value stream mapping to measure current performance and establish future state targets to eliminate waste and improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory.
- Own the timely delivery of initiatives and regularly report to the leadership team and site on the status of schedules and achievement of intended objectives.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 8 years of experience in a continuous improvement role, preferably in the oil and gas retail industry.
- PMP and/or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification are preferred.
