Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test scenarios for backend/API testing.
- Develop API automation using Java and REST Assured and perform API testing using Postman.
- Leverage AI-assisted tools for test case generation, automation, test data creation, defect analysis, and improving QA efficiency.
- Participate in sprint planning and review requirements to ensure test coverage.
- Create detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Convert manual regression scenarios to automated test cases.
- Validate API contracts, request/response payloads, authentication, authorization, and data integrity.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities during the SDLC.
- Ensure automated tests are integrated and execute reliably in CI/CD environments.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and non-functional testing, including API performance/load testing where required.
- Work as a member of an Agile SCRUM team delivering high-quality software in two-week sprints.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and document issues thoroughly during bug tracking.
- Review requirements and technical specifications to identify quality risks and ensure adequate test coverage.
- Ability to think outside-the-box for reproducing and re-creating complex issues.
- Ability to work independently and define QA activities within an Agile team.
- Document software issues and assist development teams with clear and detailed steps to reproduce defects.
Profile Requirements:
- 4+ years of solid experience in Software Testing/QA, with strong backend/API testing experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with REST Assured for API automation testing.
- Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON/XML, authentication, and API testing concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with performance/API load testing is a plus.
- Knowledge of SQL/database validation, microservices, API security, or contract testing is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development and testing tools for test generation, automation, test data, and defect analysis.
- Strong knowledge of Software QA methodologies, testing types, tools, and processes.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with project tracking tools.
- Travel and Tourism experience is a plus.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
