About the Role
This position involves managing quality assurance initiatives and processes across all functions within the company. The focus is on core business operations at over 50 operational sites including supply and distribution terminals, airports, supply chain locations, and production plants. The primary goal is to ensure continuous improvement, system integrity, and customer orientation in alignment with the company's strategies and policies. Responsibilities include designing, updating, and monitoring corrective actions, maintaining compliance with relevant standards, and ensuring the effective implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Integrated Management Systems (IMS) at all operational sections.

Key Accountabilities
Quality Assurance & Audits

  • Support all external and internal inspections conducted by various agencies and regulators (IATA, GCAA, ADAC, customers, ISO, internal audit, etc.) across operations, terminals, and fuel depots.
  • Report inspection results and recommendations to management, ensuring closure plans are created and completed within agreed timeframes.
  • Design, update, and monitor corrective actions and process updates to eliminate or reduce non-conformities.
  • Conduct periodical inspections of operations facilities, including those of customers as requested.
  • Coordinate and facilitate quality assurance audits and other audits, reporting findings to management.

Job Specific Accountabilities

  • Perform inspections of various locations to ensure ISO operational procedures are implemented and assess employee competencies.
  • Ensure all requirements are met to retain certifications from external organizations (ISO, OHSAS, JIG, etc.).
  • Conduct gap analyses and develop action plans for any identified deficiencies, regularly reviewing systems to maintain compliance.
  • Prepare detailed reports on quality assurance activities, audit findings, and corrective actions, ensuring documentation is compliant with standards.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address identified gaps, monitoring effectiveness for continuous improvement.
  • Identify and assess quality assurance risks, developing mitigation strategies and integrating risk management practices.
  • Ensure timely closeout of actions from inspections, collaborating with site managers to verify implementation and assign responsibilities.

Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving

  • Investigate customer complaints, following up on corrective/preventive actions and reporting to management.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts through evaluation and correction of quality-affecting parameters.
  • Investigate serious operational problems and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Collaborate with the training section to improve the Operations Training Manual and provide regular training on various topics including safety practices and risk assessment.
  • Ensure uniform adherence to HSE standards across all locations.

Quality Management System

  • Conduct and design training and awareness sessions on Quality Initiatives and ISO objectives to ensure employee understanding.
  • Consult on compliance with the company's Document Management System (ADMS) and Record Management System in line with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Design and update the Record Management System policies, file plans, record classification, retention, and disposal in accordance with regulations and company policy.

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • 8 or more years of experience in quality management, preferably in the oil and gas retail industry.
  • Thorough understanding of ISO 9001 quality requirements.
  • Hands-on experience in Continuous Improvement and Business Process Re-Engineering.
