The Specialist in Risk Management and Business Continuity Management (BCM) will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and updating the company's risk management and BCM procedures to ensure alignment with regulations and standards including ISO 31000 and ISO 22301. Key responsibilities include supporting Business Impact Analyses (BIA), maintaining Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), Crisis Management Plans (CMPs), and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs), as well as keeping risk and BCM registers updated.

The individual will engage with stakeholders to ensure compliance with the program and understand their requirements, monitor the implementation of the Risk and BCM Framework, and provide scheduled reports. Additionally, they will plan testing and exercises for the plans, evaluate BCM performance, and recommend corrective actions. Acting as a subject-matter expert, the Specialist will provide guidance on risk and continuity matters, support management decision-making, and promote a proactive risk and resilience culture within the organization while maintaining confidentiality and security of all documentation.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and update risk management and BCM procedures.
  • Support BIA and maintain documentation on findings.
  • Maintain BCPs, CMPs, and DRPs.
  • Keep risk and BCM registers current.
  • Engage with stakeholders for compliance and requirements understanding.
  • Monitor Risk and BCM Framework implementation and report findings.
  • Plan and evaluate testing and exercises for BCM performance.
  • Provide SME guidance on risk and continuity matters.
  • Support top management decision-making as an SME.
  • Promote a proactive risk and resilience culture.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by Senior Manager, Quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Risk Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years in risk management and/or BCM, preferably in defence, aerospace, manufacturing, or regulated environments.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 31000 and ISO 22301; BIA, BCP, CMP, DRP development experience.
  • Familiarity with internal audit fundamentals and the IIA's IPPF.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills; proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio).
  • Relevant certifications like ISO 22301, ISO 31000 Risk Manager, Internal audit credential (IIA IAP or CIA), MoR preferred.
  • Experience in an integrated management system across ISO standards and familiarity with UAE regulatory requirements preferred.
  • Strong analytical thinking, judgment, attention to detail, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal English required; Arabic preferred.
  • Valid UAE driver's license or ability to obtain one.
