Key Accountabilities
Job Specific:
- Prepare technical background and summaries related to the Digital Oil Field (DOE) concept for specific operational issues as assigned.
- Identify and participate in the development of new technologies/solutions to improve operational practices, including evaluating new technologies and selecting viable solutions for implementation.
- Support DOF programmes related to rigless operations, testing, and stimulation to optimize oil/gas producing wells, water supply, and water/gas injection wells.
- Participate in the commissioning and implementation of field trials, monitoring testing activities, evaluating performance and operational results, and drafting evaluation reports and recommendations.
- Survey the market to identify promising gas lift optimization techniques, plan and implement pilot studies for proof of concept, and propose wide application if successful.
- Collaborate with Petroleum Development units to utilize downhole pressure, temperature, flow rate, and downhole control valves to support the DOF concept in all fields.
- Provide necessary advice on remote monitoring, control, and surveillance tools required for reservoir management and optimization of oil production, gas lift, and gas injection.
- Initiate project TOR (Terms of Reference) and SOW (Scope of Work) for DOF applications and conduct technical evaluations for DOF projects.
- Map out key production management processes and identify tools and data required to optimize those processes.

- Provide input for preparation of Unit/Divisional budgets and assist in implementing the approved budget and work plans to deliver objectives.
- Investigate and highlight significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

- Implement approved Unit/Divisional policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures to support the execution of work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
- Contribute to achieving approved performance objectives for the Unit/Division in line with innovation and continuous improvement.
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to enhance the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices to pursue greater efficiency.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with the company HSE procedure requirements.
- Report all incidents and occupational illnesses to the line supervisor.
- If aware of any unsafe practices or conditions, or if in doubt about the safety of any situation, immediately consult the line supervisor.
- Carry out emergency responsibilities per the respective roles assigned during emergencies.
Reports
- Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
Communication & Working Relationship
Internal:
- Frequent contacts with technical units, Field Operations, support units, and CITD.
External:
- Regular contacts with service providers, suppliers, contractors, manufacturers, the company, and other OPCOs.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 10 years' experience in petroleum engineering, including workover, completion, well testing, and production operations.
