Specialist Sourcing

The Specialist Sourcing is responsible for executing strategy for aligning the demand/supply (i.e. procurement) of goods and services for a specific sourcing category area of responsibility. This role delivers measurable and demonstrable value to the Organization through strategic sourcing, commercial and legal negotiations, contract enablement, and life-cycle management for specific sourcing categories.

Key accountabilities include ensuring suppliers and contracts deliver value for money, minimizing risk, and achieving service and social objectives within designated categories. The Specialist Sourcing provides leadership and accountability, ensuring compliance with processes and optimizing sourcing benefits from category management. This involves negotiating the best commercial value for purchases, collaborating with the Category Manager and Head of Sourcing on category strategy, and engaging with key stakeholders to define and monitor performance objectives.

The role requires collaboration with stakeholders in managing and executing category plans based on detailed analyses of contracts and spending, driving transformational change through category strategies, and ensuring alignment between sourcing management and corporate strategies. Additionally, the Specialist Sourcing champions best practices in category management, represents sourcing in cross-functional teams for large initiatives, and creates a strategic plan for the sourcing function.

Qualifications for this position include 0-1 year of demonstrable sourcing category management experience, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage senior stakeholders, and the ability to operate in a multi-matrix and performance-driven structure. Strong negotiation skills and effective relationship management across diverse functions and geographies are essential.
