Specialist, Technology (OFS)

Support the development, evaluation, deployment, and optimization of drilling and well-related technologies to enhance safety, operational efficiency, reliability, and cost performance across the company Drilling operations. This role emphasizes technical execution and problem-solving, working closely with operations, engineering, and external partners to ensure technologies deliver practical and measurable value in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the identification, assessment, and selection of drilling and well construction technologies.
• Participate in technology pilots, trials, and proof-of-concept activities in operational environments.
• Assist in the deployment, testing, and optimization of approved technologies across rigs and projects.
• Provide technical support to drilling and operations teams during technology implementation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend corrective actions to ensure reliable performance.
• Monitor technology performance and collect operational data to assess effectiveness.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving drilling efficiency and reduction of non-productive time (NPT).
• Support the tracking and reporting of technology benefits and lessons learned.
• Coordinate with OEMs, service companies, and technology vendors during testing and deployment.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and best practices.
• Support training and knowledge transfer related to deployed technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, or related discipline).
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in drilling, well construction, or upstream technology roles.
• Hands-on experience supporting operational environments preferred.
• Exposure to drilling technologies, digital tools, automation, or advanced analytics is an advantage.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Must be computer literate.
