Your Impact:
As an Observability Solutions Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the pre-sales process by partnering with Sales to deliver technical expertise on Splunk’s observability solutions. Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing and proactively maintaining positive relationships with clients and partners.
- Collaborating closely with account teams to align with sales strategies, supporting through briefings, demos, proposals, Proof of Values (POVs), integrations, and issue resolution for Splunk’s observability portfolio.
- Engaging directly with customers to understand their IT challenges and business objectives, mapping these to Splunk product capabilities.
- Demonstrating Splunk’s observability products and services in various settings, including onsite, remotely via webinars, and at conferences or trade shows.
- Applying organized and analytical approaches to creatively overcome sales challenges.
- Contributing to a dynamic technical organization with a rapidly growing customer base.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in technical sales, pre-sales, or solution engineering within the Enterprise Software, ITOps, or Cybersecurity sectors.
- Proven track record in delivering technical product demonstrations to customers in person or via webinars.
- Familiarity with Splunk, AppDynamics, or equivalent APM technologies, along with a data platform such as Splunk Cloud/Enterprise.
- Experience conducting proof of value engagements using observability tools, including Splunk AppDynamics, for application performance and hybrid monitoring.
- Knowledge of modern application architecture, including Kubernetes, Docker, or serverless technologies, as well as digital experience monitoring tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of organizational IT, cybersecurity, compliance structures, and digital transformation drivers.
- Familiarity with Splunk Observability Cloud and proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Knowledge of AI tools and concepts, such as LLMs, GenAI frameworks, or Time Series models.
- Security operation standards knowledge and relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, SANS Cybersecurity).
- Willingness to travel for onsite customer work as required.
