Spray Painter

The role at the company involves performing inspection and repair of components according to Technical Data. Responsibilities include completing all regulatory training and maintaining effective communication with maintenance personnel at all levels to ensure that co-workers and leadership are informed of work progress and any challenges that arise. Key tasks include reading and interpreting manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, completing assignments in a timely manner, and documenting work as a Spray Painter.

Job Duties

• Perform inspection and repair of components I.A.W. Technical Data.
• Complete all regulatory training.
• Communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise.
• Complete job assignments in a timely manner.
• Read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement, or modification.
• Duties include the preparation and application of various materials including primers, protective chemicals, and topcoat finishes.
• Document and stamp work as required.
• Participate in shop and facility Continuous Improvement activities and initiatives.
• Perform area cleaning and maintenance as required.
• Adhere to shop rules, safety requirements, and regulations.
• Demonstrate awareness and understanding of company policies and management systems, including the importance of conforming to all policies and procedures.
• Acquire necessary EHS competencies in accordance with EHS policy.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Technical Diploma; Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Diploma / Degree preferred.
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies like Lean.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in performing related painting activities in Aerospace or Automotive industry, preferably in an MRO shop.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Fluent in English with effective communication skills, both verbally and in written form.
• Ability to work flexible shift hours and willingness to assist other departments as necessary.
