SQL & Oracle DBA

The company is seeking a Senior SQL & Oracle DBA to manage and optimize our database technologies. Responsibilities include servicing as a senior engineer for Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases, performing database backup and restore functions, participating in change advisory board meetings, tuning SQL database instances, monitoring database performance, installing database software, collaborating with vendors, and leading performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and maintain Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and backup/restore strategies.
• Manage lifecycle for both SQL and Oracle databases through provisioning, migration, and upgrades.
• Ensure data consistency and automation for routine tasks using scripting.
• Mentor L2 Oracle/SQL engineers and interface with solution architects.

Mandatory Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role.
• Advanced knowledge in Oracle 19c+, RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, SQL 2014, SQL 2017, SQL 2019, SSIS, SSRS.
• Expertise in SQL optimization, schema tuning, and database troubleshooting.
• Experience with large database environments and hybrid cloud database setups.
• Strong knowledge of database management practices.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
• Professional certification in database administration.
• Experience with PowerShell, Windows & Unix administration, and ITIL.
