Essential Job Functions:

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other database technologies.
• Responsible for database backup and restore functions, including disaster recovery availability tests.
• Actively participate in CAB meetings, escalation calls, and improvement sessions.
• Tune SQL production databases for performance.
• Conduct SQL code reviews to enforce coding standards.
• Monitor database performance and implement best practices for optimization.
• Lead performance tuning and complex incident resolution.
• Manage database lifecycles, including provisioning, migration, and upgrades.
• Ensure high availability and replication readiness across data centers.
• Implement automation for routine tasks using Powershell/T-SQL, PL/SQL scripting, Cron Jobs, and SQL Jobs.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Typically 6+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 2+ years in a similar role.
• Advanced skills in Oracle 19c+, RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, SQL 2014, SQL 2017, SQL 2019, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Expertise in SQL optimization and schema tuning, as well as database deep troubleshooting.
• Experience in large database environments and hybrid cloud database setups.
