Position

As a Data Analyst on the analysis track at talabat, your mission will be to enhance the decision-making process across product and business, particularly in the Marketing domain, by providing relevant, reliable, and actionable data. You will be responsible for a specific domain across product and business and work closely with product and business managers as part of a talented team of data practitioners. Your role encompasses the entire data value chain, including logging, data modeling, analysis, reporting, and experimentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage ambiguous business problems as opportunities to drive objective criteria using data.
  • Develop a deep understanding of product experiences and business processes within your area of focus.
  • Gain familiarity with source data and its generating systems through thorough documentation and collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Contribute significantly to the design and maintenance of data models to measure performance and understand performance drivers.
  • Work closely with product and business teams to identify significant questions that can be addressed with data.
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to support data-driven decision making through in-depth analysis and automated reports.
  • Design, plan, and analyze experiments (A/B and multivariate tests).
  • Support product and business managers with KPI design and goal setting.
  • Contribute to improving processes, tools, and internal training programs.

Requirements:

  • Technical Experience:

    • Excellent SQL skills.
    • Proficiency in reproducible data analysis using Python or R.
    • Familiarity with data modeling and dimensional design.
    • Strong command over the entire data analysis lifecycle.
    • Experience with various types of analysis including descriptive, exploratory, inferential, and predictive.
    • Knowledge of segmentation techniques and experimentation, particularly relating to marketing strategies.
    • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and understanding channel attribution techniques is a plus.
    • Data engineering and data pipeline development experience (e.g., via Airflow) is a plus.
  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, technology, or related fields (postgraduate degree is a plus).
    • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in an online consumer product setting.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and a growth mindset.
    • Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
    • Exceptional presentation skills with a sense of ownership and accountability.
