Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end data engineering projects from design through deployment and optimization.
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, integration frameworks, and analytical environments on Azure.
- Implement and manage data governance, data quality, and metadata frameworks using Purview and Informatica.
- Ensure high data quality, consistency, and compliance across data domains and entities.
- Collaborate with architects, governance, and analytics teams to align with enterprise data strategy.
- Mentor and guide junior data engineers, promoting engineering excellence and best practices.
- Drive automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of data infrastructure.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 15+ years of professional experience in data engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior/lead capacity.
- Proven expertise in:
- Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, Azure Fabric, and Purview.
- Informatica (PowerCenter / IDQ / Cloud) for ETL, data quality, and data integration.
- SQL, Python, and Spark for data transformation and automation.
- Strong background in data modeling, warehousing, MDM, and data lifecycle management.
- Solid understanding of data governance, cataloging, and data stewardship.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A proven record of project experience in Azure Cloud.
- Experience in government or large public-sector data initiatives is preferred.
- Certification in Microsoft Azure Data Engineer / Architect or Informatica Data Quality.
- Familiarity with data mesh, data product, and AI/analytics platforms.
