We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with 5–9 years of experience to own, optimize, and scale our continuous delivery pipelines, application packaging, and test integration workflows. This role involves leading the implementation of complex GitLab CI pipelines, managing application Dockerfiles and Helm charts, and building automation between our Python software stack and Kubernetes environments. Collaboration with development and cloud infrastructure teams is essential to eliminate build bottlenecks and ensure rapid, reliable release cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimize GitLab CI pipelines for Python microservices and automated testing suites.
- Author and maintain multi-stage Dockerfiles and develop modular Helm charts for deployment.
- Integrate Python test runners and other tools into CI stages.
- Build utilities or proxy scripts for runner network restrictions.
- Collaborate with Azure/AWS infrastructure teams to debug cluster deployments and manage runner environments.
- Establish deployment best practices and mentor mid-level engineers.
Required Qualifications & Technical Skills:
- Location: Egypt or Jordan (remote or hybrid).
- Experience: 5–9 years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Build/Release Automation.
- GitLab CI Mastery: Expertise in GitLab CI YAML syntax and optimization techniques.
- Docker & Helm Expertise: Experience with Helm charts and multi-stage Dockerfiles.
- Python Proficiency: Strong background in Python and test automation frameworks.
- Kubernetes & Cloud Literacy: Understanding of Kubernetes architecture and major cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
- Scripting & Tooling: Advanced skills in Python and Bash.
- Troubleshooting & Communication: Proven problem-solving abilities and fluency in technical English.
Language Requirements: Fluency in technical English (written and spoken).
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with AI/LLM evaluation tools in CI/CD workflows.
- Familiarity with GitOps methodologies.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CKA, Azure/AWS DevOps certifications).
