About the Role
As a Senior Prototyping Engagement Manager in the company's PACE (Prototyping and Customer Engineering) team based in Riyadh, you will be the face of PACE for customers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Your mission is to help enterprises transform their ambitious ideas into working technology proofpoints on the company's cloud services. You will operate at the intersection of business strategy and emerging technology, identifying opportunities where generative AI, agentic systems, and cloud-native architectures can generate significant value for customers. You will be responsible for shaping, qualifying, and driving engagements from initial conversations to working prototypes and beyond.
You will manage a pipeline of high-value innovation opportunities, building trust with C-suite and technical leaders, and creating an environment where engineers can excel. Collaborating with hands-on Prototyping Architects, you will deliver multi-week engagements that de-risk transformation, demonstrate new workloads, and expedite customers' production pathways. Your role will also involve navigating through generational technology shifts, helping customers make decisive moves by focusing on outcome-driven approaches and maintaining high standards in scoping and delivery. This position supports customers across KSA and the broader GCC, working alongside account teams, specialist organizations, and partners to foster workload adoption utilizing the capabilities of the company's cloud services.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Build and pilot a pipeline of innovation opportunities across KSA and the GCC by proactively identifying where generative AI and cloud-native architectures can unlock value.
- Conduct rigorous qualification to ensure there is a genuine business outcome, committed customer, and pathway to production.
- Scope engagements that foster success by defining clear, time-boxed prototypes with explicit success criteria.
- Lead engagements from kickoff to closure, coordinating efforts among customer developers, company architects, and partners, while managing risks and guaranteeing value is demonstrated at engagement end.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, guiding executives through technology shifts and aiding in confident investment decisions.
- Scale successful initiatives by packaging repeatable motions to share with the PACE community globally.
- Represent customer insights internally by providing engagement feedback to company's service teams and product roadmaps.
A Day in the Life
You start your day with a standup call where you assist a customer's engineering team that is in the midst of a generative AI prototype. Following this, you engage with a Saudi enterprise to scope a new project focusing on agentic AI. After lunch, you review your pipeline, update qualification statuses, and collaborate on resource planning with your Prototyping Architect. Later, you have a strategy session with a customer’s CTO to discuss the path to production based on their prototype results. You conclude your day by documenting a repeatable pattern you've identified, which could be beneficial for the broader PACE team.

The PACE (Prototyping AI and Customer Engineering) team is dedicated to hands-on customer innovation at the company's cloud services. We work directly with enterprise clients to translate their bold ideas into tangible technology by building prototypes that mitigate transformation risks and facilitate adoption.
Our model combines the talents of Engagement Managers and Prototyping Architects, with Engagement Managers focusing on opportunity shaping while Prototyping Architects focus on technology shaping, together they deliver real-world solutions. This role is situated within EMEA PACE, targeting customers across KSA and the wider GCC, bolstered by a global community that shares insights, tools, and lessons learned.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years working directly with engineering teams
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 8+ years of technical program management with software engineering teams
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of project management experience, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
- Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, establishing sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPIs and SLAs that drive multi-million dollar businesses while reporting to senior leadership
