Job description:
Title: Sr. ETL Developer
Location: Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (On-site)
This position is on contract for 1 year on Edgematics payroll.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ETL Developer with expertise in Talend, Big Data technologies, Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Atlas Catalog, Data Lake, Data Warehouse solutions, and SQL Server. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to support our data infrastructure and analytics needs. The Senior ETL Developer will work closely with data architects, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration and transformation of data across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Talend.
- Extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses and data lakes.
- Optimize and maintain existing ETL workflows to improve performance and reliability.
- Work with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Impala, Hive, etc.) to manage and process large datasets.
- Implement data integration solutions that support real-time and batch processing.
- Utilize Atlas Catalog for metadata management and data governance.
- Ensure data lineage, quality, and consistency across the data infrastructure.
- Implement data ingestion pipelines to load data into the data lake.
- Implement dimensional modeling and data marts to facilitate reporting and analysis.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for ETL processes, data flows, and data models.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in ETL development, Big Data, and data management.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7 years or more of experience in ETL development with a focus on Talend.
- Proven experience working with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Experience with data cataloging tools, preferably Atlas Catalog.
- Strong understanding of data lake and data warehouse architectures.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Talend for ETL development.
- Knowledge of Big Data frameworks and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Spark, HDFS).
- Experience with metadata management and data governance tools (e.g., Atlas Catalog).
- Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Server.
- Knowledge of data modeling techniques and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
