SR GEOTECHNICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

About the Role

This position entails providing comprehensive support for all geotechnical design work associated with tenders and ongoing projects. You will be responsible for organizing all geotechnical works and data for the operational business units.

Responsibilities

• Analyse geotechnical data and prepare Geotechnical Interpretative Reports (GIR).
• Examine geotechnical findings, perform requisite calculations, and compile data reports for submission to the Manager.
• Conduct effective geotechnical investigations.
• Review geotechnical designs developed by third-party consultants.
• Assess construction design proposals and verify geotechnical aspects.
• Develop design drawings and specifications for construction projects.
• Analyse soil parameters and evaluate the stability of structures under both normal and seismic conditions.
• Collaborate with customers and team members to ensure timely completion of assigned projects.
• Assist in structural design using specialized software or calculations.
• Ensure designs adhere to pre-QA/QC procedures and standards.
• Promote and uphold the organization’s Health and Safety Policies.
• Actively participate in safety programs to promote a safer working environment.
• Be prepared to undertake tasks beyond the typical scope of the role as operational requirements dictate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Preferably Civil, Geotechnical, Structural, or Coastal), or an equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 8 years' experience in Engineering & Design within related industries.
