This role entails implementing critical technologies that enhance the quality, reliability, and accessibility of data and geospatial capabilities.
The Professional Services division serves as the consulting and implementation arm, delivering transformational solutions to high-profile clients worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Oversee complex and strategic GIS programs comprising multiple component engagements and stakeholder teams.
- Collaborate with senior-level stakeholders from both the organization and customers to establish program goals and benefits in alignment with the organizational strategy.
- Monitor the outputs and outcomes of engagements, implementing and managing changes to ensure program benefits are effectively delivered.
- Serve as the point of contact for escalations.
- Coordinate meetings with stakeholders to discuss program status, balance diverse interests, and address complex issues.
- Produce accurate and timely reports on program status throughout its lifecycle.
- Analyze program risks and manage risk mitigation plans.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in a similar position supporting similar responsibilities.
- Professional experience in program management, strategic consulting, technology adoption, and a strong understanding of customer organizational needs and IT implementation patterns.
- Ability to consult and engage with executive-level leadership.
- Extensive experience in project management and proven leadership in large-scale proposals.
- Strong professional presentation skills for both internal and external audiences.
- Self-motivated, proactive problem solver with a creative and team-oriented mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Computer Science, or a related field.
Recommended Qualifications
- Prior work experience in a similar field in North America or Europe.
- Experience with ArcGIS, location-based services, geo-enabled apps, or spatial analysis.
- GIS Project Management experience.
- Knowledge of software engineering principles and robust application development practices.
- Familiarity with current technology implementation patterns, including service-oriented and cloud computing architectures.
- Basic understanding of IT concepts.
- Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Master’s degree in Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Computer Science, or a related field.
