Academic Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field
Experience Required
- Years of Experience: 7 - 10 years
- Must have Banking / Financial Services experience.
- Extensive knowledge of API Management, Java (Java 8/11/14), OOP principles, and SOLID/DRY coding practices.
- Experience with Java Concurrency & Multithreading and Microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in Spring Framework + Spring Boot + Micro-Services development with JPA.
- Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and familiarity with message queuing systems (e.g., IBM MQ, Kafka).
- Knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS protocols, web servers, and relational database design with SQL scripting (MySQL).
- Understanding NoSQL technologies (MongoDB) and UI technologies (HTML5, Thyme leaf/JSP, JSF, Prime faces, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).
- Awareness of Security & Identity protocols (OpenID, TLS, OAuth, SAML, SSO, PKI encryption & key management).
- Familiarity with Testing, debugging, and best practices in (Git) Version Control System.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices is a plus.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java applications utilizing OOP and clean-code practices.
- Build and enhance backend services using Spring Framework/Spring Boot, ensuring high performance and scalability.
- Develop, expose, and consume RESTful APIs (JSON) and provide support for SOAP/WSDL/XML integrations as necessary.
- Implement microservices architecture using JPA/Hibernate, focusing on service communication and API lifecycle management.
- Design and optimize data models; write efficient SQL and manage both relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
- Apply concurrency and multithreading principles to enhance throughput, reliability, and overall system responsiveness.
- Enforce security and identity standards, including OAuth2/OpenID Connect, SAML/SSO, TLS, and PKI concepts.
- Troubleshoot production issues, manage multiple support cases simultaneously, and conduct root-cause analysis.
- Develop and execute testing/debugging activities, maintaining high code quality and adherence to engineering best practices.
- Utilize Git for version control and support CI/CD/DevOps practices, preferably leveraging Azure DevOps pipelines and boards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate integration requirements.
- Document integration flows, technical specifications, and support procedures.
