Architectural Discipline Leadership
- Lead the architectural team across assigned projects.
- Allocate architectural activities based on project priorities, workload, and competence.
- Provide technical direction, mentoring, and support to team members.
- Review workload and resource needs, reporting requirements to management.
- Monitor design productivity, deliverables, and project milestones.
- Ensure consistent design standards and engineering practices are applied across projects.
- Support recruitment and professional development within the architectural team.
- Establish high standards of architectural design quality and documentation.
Architectural Design Management
Lead and oversee architectural designs for:
- Concept and feasibility studies
- Master planning and site planning
- Architectural programming and space planning
- Schematic design and design development
- Detailed architectural design and interior architectural coordination
- Building envelope and façade design
- Accessibility and universal design solutions
- Life-safety and egress planning
- Material and finish selection
- Sustainable design considerations
Architectural Design Development
Ensure appropriate development and technical review of:
- Architectural plans, elevations, sections, and details
- Material schedules and specifications
- Accessibility layouts and life-safety plans
- Design presentations and visualization materials
- Tender documentation and authority submission packages
Ensure all documentation is coordinated, technically accurate, and suitable for the relevant project stage.
Design Deliverables
Lead preparation and review of:
- Design Basis Reports and architectural specifications
- Schematic and detailed design packages
- Technical reports and presentation documents
Ensure all documentation meets project specifications and quality standards.
Saudi Regulatory and Authority Compliance
Ensure compliance with:
- Saudi Building Code and Civil Defense requirements
- Accessibility and zoning regulations
- Planning and local authority requirements
- International standards where applicable
Identify any conflicts between standards and ensure clarity on project requirements.
Authority and Municipality Coordination
- Lead coordination with relevant authorities and municipalities.
- Prepare and review authority submission packages.
- Attend technical meetings and respond to authority technical comments.
- Ensure authority requirements are incorporated into design and project documentation.
Multidisciplinary Coordination
Coordinate architectural requirements with:
- Structural, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, and other relevant disciplines.
Ensure all systems are properly integrated within architectural spaces.
BIM and Digital Design Coordination
- Lead implementation of BIM within the architectural discipline.
- Coordinate with BIM Managers to ensure model compliance with project requirements.
- Promote the effective use of digital design tools throughout the project lifecycle.
Technical Assurance and Quality
- Conduct technical reviews and interdisciplinary design reviews.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable codes.
- Maintain consistency and quality across deliverables.
Client and Stakeholder Interface
- Represent the architectural discipline during client meetings.
- Present design concepts and respond to technical comments.
- Coordinate with technical teams and maintain communication with stakeholders.
Tender and Construction Support
- Respond to bidder queries and review contractor submissions.
- Support technical resolution of site issues and participate in site inspections.
Value Engineering, Sustainability and Innovation
- Identify opportunities for optimizing architectural solutions.
- Promote sustainable and energy-efficient designs.
- Encourage innovation while ensuring technical viability.
Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
- 12–15 years of relevant architectural design experience.
- Strong experience leading architectural teams and managing large-scale projects.
- Experience with Saudi Arabian projects is strongly preferred.
Professional Registration
- Valid or eligible professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
- Professional Architect or equivalent international registration is advantageous.
Software and Digital Skills
Working knowledge of relevant tools such as:
- AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks
- Microsoft Office and BIM collaboration platforms
- Design tools relevant to telecommunications and security systems.

- Ability to manage multiple design packages effectively.
