Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic vision for utilizing data to enhance logistics operations, focusing on process optimization, cost reduction, and service quality improvements.
- Advocate for a data-driven culture within logistics operations by promoting advanced analytics and data science methodologies.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across product, business, and engineering teams.
- Guide and develop a skilled team of data scientists and analysts while fostering a supportive and innovative work environment.
- Spearhead innovative data science projects, leveraging predictive analytics, machine learning models, and optimization algorithms.
- Ensure the development and maintenance of a robust and scalable data infrastructure, advocating for best practices in data governance and compliance.
- Oversee the generation of analytical reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide strategic insights.
- Serve as a key communication point between the data science unit and internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in data science, logistics, and technology, incorporating advancements into the data science strategy.
- Manage resources and priorities to balance long-term initiatives with immediate operational needs.
- Design and implement experimental frameworks, such as A/B testing, and provide expert analytical support to cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or related fields (an advanced degree is preferred).
- A minimum of 8+ years of experience in data science, including 3+ years in a leadership role managing data teams or operations.
- Proven leadership ability and experience in developing and executing strategic plans.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, capable of guiding a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a growth mindset and a commitment to high-quality results.
