About the Role
We are building the future of defense at our Coyote factory in the United Arab Emirates, which will serve as a lean, high-velocity production center for next-generation counter-UAS technologies. We are seeking bold, execution-driven team members to help set the standard for operational excellence.
As a Manufacturing Development Engineer, you will coordinate with US counterparts to establish the UAE facility by providing technical manufacturing assistance from the early development phases through the transition to full-scale production. You will leverage your knowledge of manufacturing capabilities, product technologies, factory requirements, and business processes to establish and execute the manufacturing plan while influencing technical program decisions to support overall operations.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct manufacturing process development and factory capabilities analysis to ensure production readiness and enhance product producibility.
  • Participate in the development of manufacturing and test requirements.
  • Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs), including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, and tool and fixture designs.
  • Provide technical input and peer review to engineering designs and design changes.
  • Offer technical guidance and problem-solving support to assembly and quality teams.
  • Apply manufacturing engineering skills across the value stream to resolve constraints and improve process and product designs.
  • Serve as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program.
  • Recommend process and procedural changes to meet objectives in cost, efficiency, and quality.
  • Design, control, and improve the producibility of products through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team.
  • Identify and resolve constraints across the program.
  • Participate in corrective action investigations.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • A bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing production, with a focus on manufacturing process development or improvement.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and utilizing CAD solid modeling tools (preferably CREO/ProE).
  • Experience in technical writing, interpreting/improving technical drawings, and effectively communicating technical information to diverse audiences.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Ability to identify, reduce, and eliminate cost, quality, and schedule constraints through technical engagements, along with an innovative mindset that fosters continuous improvement and lean manufacturing while keeping pace with technological advances.
  • Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude and the ability to collaborate across disciplines in a team environment.
  • Experience with MRP systems and Manufacturing Readiness Assessments.
  • Capability to work in highly controlled, constraint-driven production environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage both shop floor teams and senior management.
