The company is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Commissioning Engineer with experience in MEGA EPC projects, to be based in Abu Dhabi for a PMC project. The successful candidate will provide guidance to the EPC Contractor to meet completion milestones throughout various phases of the project, from construction completion to pre-commissioning, commissioning activities, and successful startup and project handover to Operations. This role demands expertise in completion activities and support for the Onshore Completion Lead and EPC Contractor to ensure implementation of the approved Completion Management System, procedures, and workflows as per company and industry standards.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics) or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in completion/turnover within commissioning/operation readiness environments, with a preference for experience in the GCC region.
- At least five (5) years in a similar position within Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, particularly in commissioning sour gas, utilities, power steam generation, and air separation projects.
- Proficient with Completion Management System as a user; familiarity with large database populations, checking, and quantifying completion data is preferred.
- Familiar with international standards (API, ASME, IEC).
- Working knowledge of systemization, P&IDs, and completion processes.
- Ability to review technical documentation and certification records.
Roles & Responsibilities
A- Leadership and Management:
- Provide guidance to EPC contractors and subcontractors on completion deliverables and implementations.
- Support systemization activities, including system and subsystem definition.
- Review completion/turnover deliverables issued by the EPC Contractor.
- Verify mechanical completion certificate requirements for various systems and subsystems.
- Participate in completion and commissioning meetings.
- Ensure the completion and handover methodology comply with related contractual documents.
B- Planning and Execution:
- Ensure Project Completion Management System Database populations are reliable for tracking and monitoring prior to completion acceptance.
- Monitor Contractor’s Mechanical Completion (MC) and Pre-Commissioning activities on a daily basis.
- Ensure installations are complete and compliant with project requirements.
- Participate in system walkdowns and final acceptance inspections.
- Verify closure of punch items, ensuring critical items are addressed prior to completion acceptance.
- Report completion progress, key issues, and readiness status to other departments.
C- HSE & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure EPC Contractor compliance with Company HSE regulations during construction, quality, and commissioning activities.
- Advise on managing risks prior to pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
D- Interface & Stakeholder Management:
- Coordinate with Contractor, QA/QC, Commissioning Team, and Operations representatives.
- Support approval of Mechanical Completion and RFSU by Onshore Completion Lead and Sr. Commissioning Manager.
- Verify the final handover of facilities to Operations in accordance with contractual requirements.
